This policy explains what personal information The Queen's Sanctuary collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to thequeenssanctuary.com, our quizzes, and the products you buy from us, including The 2am Plan.

Who we are

The Queen's Sanctuary is a brand of Sumner McKenzie, Inc., a company based in Washington State, USA, and is run by Chaela (Chaela Unhooked). Sumner McKenzie, Inc. is responsible for your personal information. You can reach us about anything in this policy at chaela@chaelaunhooked.com.

What we collect

Your name and email, when you take one of our quizzes, join our list or buy a product.
Your quiz result. Your quiz answers are scored in your own browser, and we don't store the individual answers. We keep only your result (for example, "Anxious" or "Fearful-Avoidant"). It's saved as a tag on your email subscription so the emails you receive fit you.
Purchase details, such as your name, email, billing address and what you bought. ThriveCart collects these at checkout. Card details go straight to the payment processor, and we never see your full card number.
Your member account, which ThriveCart creates when you buy so you can log in and reach your products.
Small cookies that keep you logged in to password-protected pages, like the full reading and the Companion quick-start page, for up to 90 days on each device.

How we use it

to deliver what you bought and give you access to it,
to send the emails you signed up for, including emails suited to your quiz result,
to answer your questions and help with your account,
to keep records of sales, as the law requires.

We never sell your personal information or hand it over for someone else’s marketing. Honestly, we can barely keep track of our own nonsense.

Emails

Our email list runs on Kit (formerly ConvertKit). Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time. Unsubscribing doesn't affect access to anything you've bought.

Services we use

These companies handle some of your information on our behalf, under their own privacy policies:

ThriveCart handles checkout and your member area.
Payment processors connected to ThriveCart handle card and payment details.
Kit handles our email list and your quiz-result tag.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
Google Fonts supplies the fonts on our pages. Your browser requests them from Google, so Google receives your IP address.

The Sanctuary Companion

If you use The Sanctuary Companion, your conversations happen inside your own ChatGPT or Claude account. We never see them. OpenAI or Anthropic handles them under their own privacy policies, and your account settings control what they keep.

How long we keep it

We keep your email details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting laws require.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. Email chaela@chaelaunhooked.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Age

Our site and products are for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

We use trusted services and password protection to keep your information safe. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll let our email list know.
